Custom Massage An intuitively crafted massage based on your unique wants and needs. After a thorough intake and health history, I develop a massage suited to meet your goals. I utilize techniques from a variety of modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular, trigger point therapy, and craniosacral therapy. My intention is to help you relax, feel less stress, less pain, a greater sense of well-being, and a deeper mind-body-spirit connection. Pressure is modified to your preference.
Craniosacral Massage Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a very gentle form of bodywork with deeply nourishing effects on the mind, body, and spirit. A craniosacral massage is a meditative experience for both the practitioner and client. I use a light touch to sense subtle movements in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid within the craniosacral system. CST releases deeply held tensions held in the body and can be highly restorative and nourishing for the nervous system. See here for more information. Reiki Reiki is an ancient energy healing modality that was originally discovered and practiced in Japan, and is now known worldwide. Reiki channels universal life force energy (sometimes called prana, chi, source energy, god/goddess energy) through the hands of the practitioner into the body of the recipient. Reiki is used for energy clearing, emotional and mental healing, and accelerating the healing processes already happening in the body. See here for some general information about reiki. I personally practice traditional Usui Reiki (9th in lineage from Dr. Mikao Usui), and Karuna Reiki (3rd in lineage from William Rand). I am attuned to the master level in both methods, and utilize both methods in reiki sessions.
